1. This agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and JANZAY LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company at 30 N Gould St Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801 ("we", "us"). They cover the LockCommand app on phones and the web, this website, and the calls and texts that run through LockCommand (together, "the service").
By creating an account, joining a shop's team or using the service, you agree to these terms, our privacy policy, our acceptable use policy and our SMS terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
2. Words we use
- Shop: the locksmith business that holds a LockCommand account. A solo locksmith is a shop of one.
- Owner: the person who created the shop's account. The owner controls the plan and the shop's settings.
- Team member: anyone the owner or an admin invites, such as an admin, dispatcher, technician or accountant.
- Customer: a person who calls, texts or hires the shop. Customers are the shop's customers, not ours.
- Shop data: everything the shop and its customers put into the service, such as jobs, customer details, calls, recordings, texts, photos, ID images, signatures, invoices and payments.
- AI features: the AI receptionist, AI call notes, AI reply drafts and AI dispatch.
- You: the person using the service, and the shop they use it for.
3. Who can use LockCommand
- LockCommand is for locksmith businesses in the United States and the people who work for them. It's for business use only, not personal use.
- You must be at least 18 and able to make a binding agreement.
- If you sign up for a business, you confirm you're allowed to accept these terms for it. The business is then bound by them.
- You can't use LockCommand if the law forbids you from using it, or if we've closed your account before for breaking these terms.
4. Accounts and team roles
- Give accurate details when you sign up, and keep them up to date.
- Keep your password private. Each person needs their own login. Don't share logins.
- You're responsible for what happens in your account. Tell us right away at support@lockcommand.com if you think someone else is using it.
- The owner decides who joins the team, which role each person has, and any permission changes. The owner is responsible for the team's use of the service, and for removing people who leave.
- Team members can see shop data their role allows, which can include customer details, call recordings and ID photos. Invite only people you trust.
5. Early access and beta features
LockCommand is opening to locksmiths now, through early access. Some features may be marked as early access or beta. They may change, have limits, or stop working while we improve them, and we may remove them. Use them knowing that. Everything else in these terms still applies to them.
6. What LockCommand does
LockCommand gives a shop tools: an AI receptionist on a local phone number, dispatch with a live map, customer texts, invoices and pay links, ID and proof capture, photos, reports, and QuickBooks Online sync. The details of each feature are on our features pages and in the app.
LockCommand is software. It doesn't do locksmith work, give legal advice or decide anything for your business. It isn't an emergency service. If a caller describes an emergency, such as a child or pet locked in a car, the AI tells them to hang up and call 911.
7. AI features
- AI can make mistakes. It can mishear a street name, a phone number or a car model, misunderstand a caller, or write a note or draft that's wrong. Check bookings, quotes, notes and drafts before you act on them.
- Quotes come only from your price book. The AI quotes the price ranges you set, plus your after-hours surcharge. If a job isn't in your price book, it tells the caller a technician will give a price on arrival. Keeping your price book accurate is your job.
- Arrival times are estimates. Any arrival time the AI or a text gives is based on live drive times. It's not a promise.
- A person sends AI drafts. AI reply drafts and suggested texts wait for someone on your team to send them. Once sent, they're your messages.
- Model choice. You can pick the AI model the receptionist uses, including models from the OpenAI, Claude and Gemini families. Models can change or be retired by their makers, and we may move you to a similar one.
- Limits. Calls have a length limit you set, a shop can run a limited number of AI calls at the same time, and callers beyond that ring through to your cell.
8. Your duties as a shop
You run your business. These parts stay your responsibility:
- Call recording consent. Calls to your AI number are recorded and transcribed. By default, every AI call starts with a short recording notice in the caller's language. You can turn that notice off. Either way, you're responsible for following the recording and consent laws that apply to your calls, including states that require everyone on the call to agree. If you turn the notice off, you must tell callers yourself where the law requires it.
- Text consent and opt-outs. Text only customers who gave you their number for their job. Don't send marketing through LockCommand. Honor every STOP request. Follow our SMS terms and the law, including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and carrier rules.
- Licensing. Hold every license, registration and insurance your state, county or city requires for locksmith work, and keep your license number up to date in the app if you show it to customers.
- ID, proof of ownership and opening the door. LockCommand helps you record ID, proof of ownership and a signature. You can require an ID check before a job is completed, in Shop details. Whether to open a door, car or safe is always your decision, and you're responsible for checking that the person has the right to enter and for following identity and record-keeping rules where you work.
- Prices and promises. Keep your price book, after-hours surcharge, tax rate and invoices accurate. You're responsible for your prices, quotes, arrival times and the work you do.
- Your customers' data. You're responsible for having the right to collect your customers' information and give it to us, for telling them how you use it, and for answering their privacy requests. We help, as described in our privacy policy.
- Your team. Make sure your team follows these terms, and get your technicians' agreement before their location is shared while they're on shift.
9. Plans, minutes and wallet credit
- LockCommand plans are monthly subscriptions. Current plans and prices are on our pricing page and in the app. The price shown in the store when you buy is the one that applies.
- Each plan includes a number of AI minutes each month. Unused plan minutes don't carry over to the next month.
- Minute boosters add extra minutes for the current month. Unused booster minutes don't carry over either.
- After plan and booster minutes run out, calls are paid from your wallet credit at the per-minute price shown in the app for the AI model you chose. AI call notes and AI reply drafts are also paid from wallet credit, at the price shown in the app.
- You add wallet credit with top-ups. You can set a monthly spending limit and a low-balance alert in the app.
- When the wallet is empty, calls ring through to your cell instead of the AI.
- Wallet credit isn't money. It can't be cashed out, transferred or used outside LockCommand. Unused credit and minutes end when your account is deleted, unless the law says otherwise.
10. Billing, renewal and cancelling
- Plans, boosters and top-ups are sold through Google Play or the Apple App Store. The store charges you, using the payment method in your store account, and the store's terms apply to the purchase.
- Plans renew automatically each month until you cancel. Cancel in your Google Play or App Store subscriptions, at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid the next charge. Your plan stays active until the end of the month you paid for.
- Deleting the app or your LockCommand account doesn't cancel a store subscription. Cancel it in the store too.
- If a store payment fails or is reversed, we may limit the service until it's sorted out.
- Taxes on store purchases are handled by the store, as its rules say.
11. Refunds
Because the stores take payment, refund requests go to the store you bought from, under its refund rules. We can't issue refunds for store purchases ourselves. We don't give refunds or credits for unused minutes, unused wallet credit or part of a month, except where the store's rules or the law require it.
If you think you were charged by mistake, or the service didn't work as it should, email support@lockcommand.com. We'll look into it and tell you what we can do.
12. Price changes
We may change plan prices, per-minute prices, booster and top-up prices, or what a plan includes. We'll tell shop owners at least 30 days before a change that costs you more. It applies from your next billing period. The stores may also ask you to agree to a new subscription price. If you don't want the new price, cancel before it starts.
13. Payments you collect
- When your customers pay you, the money goes to your own payment account: Stripe, Square or PayPal, or your PayPal.me, Venmo, Cash App or Zelle. It never passes through LockCommand, and we charge no processing fee.
- We aren't a party to payments between you and your customers. We don't hold your money, process cards or handle disputes, refunds or chargebacks. Those happen in your payment provider's dashboard.
- Your payment provider's own terms and fees apply.
- Payments made by Venmo, Cash App, Zelle or PayPal.me don't report back to us, so your team marks them paid. Check your account before you do.
14. Connected accounts
You can connect your own QuickBooks Online, Stripe, Square or PayPal account. By connecting one, you let us use it only for what you asked: copying customers, invoices and payments to QuickBooks Online, or creating pay links and learning when a payment lands. Our privacy policy lists what we read and send.
You can disconnect at any time in Payments and accounting, and we stop using that account straight away. Intuit, Stripe, Square and PayPal aren't parties to these terms, and their own terms apply to your accounts with them.
15. Acceptable use
Use LockCommand only for lawful locksmith work. Our acceptable use policy lists what's not allowed, such as helping anyone get in somewhere they have no right to be, texting people who didn't agree to it, recording calls illegally, misusing ID images, and probing or reselling the service. It's part of these terms.
16. Your data and content
- Shop data belongs to the shop. We don't claim ownership of it.
- You give us permission to store, copy, process and show shop data only as needed to run the service for you, to support you, to keep the service safe, and to meet our legal duties. That includes sending it to the service providers described in our privacy policy.
- We may use combined statistics that don't identify you, your shop or your customers to run and improve LockCommand.
- You confirm you have the rights to the data you put in, such as photos you upload and your shop's logo.
- You can export jobs, customers and payments to CSV in the app.
17. Our property
LockCommand, including the app, this website, our designs, text and the LockCommand name and logo, belongs to JANZAY LLC. While your account is in good standing, we give you a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use the service for your shop under these terms. You can't copy, change, sell or rent it, or build a competing product from it.
18. Feedback
If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them to improve LockCommand without paying you or owing you anything. We won't name you publicly without asking.
19. Other companies' services
LockCommand relies on other companies, such as phone and text carriers, AI providers, mapping services, app stores, and the payment and accounting accounts you connect. We choose our providers carefully, but we don't control them, and we aren't responsible for their outages, mistakes or decisions, such as a carrier blocking texts or an app store rejecting a payment.
20. Availability and changes
- We work to keep LockCommand running and secure, but we can't promise it will never be slow, interrupted or unavailable.
- When the AI can't answer, for example during an outage, calls may ring through to your cell or fail. Keep a way to reach your customers.
- We may change, add or remove features. If we remove something important you pay for, we'll tell you first.
21. Suspension, cancelling and deletion
- You can stop any time. Cancel your subscription in the store, and delete your account if you want your data gone.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the acceptable use policy, puts customers, the public or the service at risk, isn't paid, or when the law requires it. Where we can, we'll warn you first and give you a chance to fix the problem. In serious cases we may act at once.
- Deletion is instant and permanent. Deleting an account or a record removes it right away. We can't undo it or bring the data back, so export what you need first. We keep only records the law requires: billing records of what you paid us, with the shop's name. For Stripe and PayPal, also remove LockCommand's access in your own dashboard.
- When your account ends, your right to use the service ends. Sections 11, 13, 16 to 19 and 22 to 28 keep applying.
22. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, whether written, implied or by law, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement. We don't promise that the service or any AI output will be accurate, complete, uninterrupted or free of errors, or that it will meet your legal duties for you.
Some states don't allow some of these disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
23. Limits on liability
To the fullest extent the law allows:
- We aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive losses, or for lost profits, lost jobs, lost revenue, lost data or harm to your reputation, even if we were told they were possible.
- Our total liability for all claims about the service is limited to the amount you paid for LockCommand in the 12 months before the event that led to the claim.
- We aren't responsible for decisions you or your team make, such as opening a door, the price you charge, or a text you send, or for anything a customer does.
These limits don't apply where the law doesn't allow them, such as for fraud or harm we cause on purpose.
24. Covering our costs
If someone makes a claim against us because of your business, your work, your customers, your texts or calls, the data you put in, or your breaking these terms or the law, you agree to defend us and pay the costs, losses and reasonable legal fees that result. We'll tell you about the claim and let you handle it, and we won't settle it in a way that makes you admit fault without your agreement.
25. Governing law and disputes
- These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
- Talk to us first. Before starting a claim, email support@lockcommand.com with what went wrong and what you want. We'll try to solve it with you within 30 days.
- If we can't, either of us can bring the dispute in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, unless the law where you are gives you the right to go to court there instead. Either of us can also use small claims court if the claim qualifies.
- Nothing here stops either of us from asking a court to stop misuse of the service or our property.
26. App store terms
If you got the LockCommand app from Google Play or the Apple App Store:
- These terms are between you and JANZAY LLC, not Google or Apple. We, not the store, are responsible for the app and its content.
- The store has no duty to provide maintenance or support for the app. Support comes from us at support@lockcommand.com.
- If the app fails to meet a warranty that applies by law, you can tell the store, and it may refund the purchase price as its rules allow. The store has no other warranty duty for the app.
- We, not the store, handle any claims about the app, including product liability, legal compliance, consumer protection and intellectual property claims.
- You confirm you aren't in a country under a US government embargo and aren't on a US government list of restricted parties.
- The store's own terms also apply to your download and purchases. Apple and its subsidiaries can enforce these terms against you as a third party.
27. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we change the date at the top. If a change is important, we tell shop owners in the app or by email at least 30 days before it takes effect, unless the law or a safety reason needs it sooner. Using LockCommand after a change takes effect means you accept the new terms. If you don't, cancel and stop using the service.
28. General terms
- Notices: we send notices to the shop owner's email address or in the app. You send notices to support@lockcommand.com, or by mail to JANZAY LLC, 30 N Gould St Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801.
- Assignment: you can't transfer these terms or your account without our written consent. We can transfer them as part of a merger, sale or reorganization, and these terms keep applying.
- Entire agreement: these terms and the policies they link to are the whole agreement between you and us about LockCommand. They replace earlier agreements on the same subject.
- Severability: if a court finds part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
- No waiver: if we don't enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.
- Events outside our control: we aren't responsible for delays or failures caused by things we can't reasonably control, such as carrier or provider outages, power cuts, natural disasters or changes in the law.
- Relationship: we're independent businesses. These terms don't make us partners, employers or agents of each other.
