What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. Browsers also have other storage, called local storage, that works in a similar way. Some cookies are needed for a site to work, such as keeping you signed in. Others track you across sites to show ads. We use none of the tracking kind.
This website
- lockcommand.com sets no cookies of its own and saves nothing in your browser's storage.
- It runs no analytics, no advertising scripts and no social media trackers.
- Our hosting and security provider protects the site from attacks. It may set a short-lived cookie that tells people from bots. That cookie is strictly necessary, isn't used for tracking or ads, and doesn't identify you.
- Like any website, our host keeps standard request logs, such as IP address and browser type. Our privacy policy explains them.
The LockCommand app
The app stores only what it needs to work:
| Where | What | Why |
|---|---|---|
| iPhone and Android app | Your sign-in, kept in the phone's secure storage | Keeps you signed in, including for location updates while you're on shift |
| Web app in a browser | Your sign-in, kept in the browser's local storage | Keeps you signed in |
Signing out removes it. The app has no advertising or analytics trackers.
If we add analytics
We may one day want to count visits to see which pages help people. If we do, we'll update this policy first, and we'll ask for your consent before anything that isn't strictly necessary is set. You'll be able to say no and still use the whole site. We'll also respect Global Privacy Control signals from your browser.
Your controls
You can block or delete cookies and site data in your browser's settings. On this website, nothing breaks if you do. In the web app, clearing site data signs you out.
