Lawful locksmith work
Don't use LockCommand to:
- help anyone get into a home, business, vehicle, safe or anything else they have no right to enter;
- open, rekey or make keys for property when you have reason to think the person isn't the owner or allowed to be there;
- get the AI to explain how to open or defeat a lock, or try to make it give that kind of help;
- do locksmith work without the licenses your state, county or city requires.
Calls and recordings
- Follow the call recording and consent laws that apply to your calls. Don't turn off the recording notice where the law requires callers to be told.
- Don't record or listen to calls in any way the law doesn't allow.
- Don't set up the AI to mislead callers, for example about who your business is, where you're based, your licensing or your prices.
- Don't use LockCommand to make robocalls, cold calls or calls to people who didn't contact you.
Texting
- Text only customers who gave you their number for their job and agreed to texts about it.
- Don't send marketing, promotions or bulk messages through LockCommand. Job texts are for the job.
- Don't buy, rent or import lists of phone numbers to text.
- Honor every STOP request. Don't text someone again after they opt out unless they text START or contact you again.
- Don't send texts about illegal or restricted topics, or texts that are hateful, sexual, violent, threatening or misleading. Carriers block these, and we may turn off texting for a shop that sends them.
- Follow our SMS terms, carrier rules and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA).
ID images and customer data
- Use ID and proof photos, signatures and customer details only for the job and your own business records.
- Don't copy ID images out of LockCommand to share, post or sell them, or use them for anything unrelated to the job.
- Don't use customer data to stalk, track, profile or contact people for reasons unrelated to their job.
- Don't upload data you have no right to use, or sensitive information LockCommand doesn't need, such as health or bank details.
- Use a technician's location only to run dispatch while they're on shift, never to watch them off duty.
Treating people fairly
- Don't harass, threaten, abuse or intimidate anyone, including customers, techs and our support team.
- Don't refuse service or charge more based on race, religion, sex, disability or any other trait the law protects.
- Don't pretend to be another business or person.
- Don't use LockCommand to cheat customers, for example by quoting one price and charging a hidden higher one.
Accounts and your team
- Each person needs their own login. Don't share passwords or accounts.
- Invite only people who work for your shop, and remove them when they leave.
- Don't create accounts with false details, or open new accounts to get around a suspension.
The service itself
Don't:
- reverse engineer, decompile or copy the app, except where the law allows it despite this rule;
- probe, scan or test the service for weaknesses, or get around its security, limits or billing;
- try to see another shop's data, or any data your role doesn't give you;
- overload the service, scrape it, or use bots to access it;
- upload viruses or harmful code;
- try to make the AI ignore its instructions, reveal how it's set up, or produce content this policy forbids.
Found a security problem? Tell us at support@lockcommand.com with "Security report" in the subject, and don't use it or share it. We're grateful for reports made in good faith.
No reselling
Don't resell, rent, sublicense or share LockCommand, its phone numbers or its AI minutes with other businesses, or offer it under your own brand, unless we agree in writing. Each locksmith business needs its own account.
High-risk use
LockCommand isn't built for situations where a failure could put someone in danger. Don't use it:
- as an emergency line, or in place of calling 911;
- to run alarm monitoring, access control for buildings, or any system that keeps people safe;
- as the only way to reach you about jobs where someone could be hurt if a call is missed.
What happens if this is broken
If we believe this policy has been broken, we may warn you, remove content, turn off texting or the AI number, limit features, or suspend or close the account. What we do depends on how serious it is, whether it was on purpose and whether it happened before. Where we can, we'll explain what happened and how to fix it, and you can ask us to review the decision by replying to our notice. We may report illegal activity to the authorities and work with carriers when they investigate abuse.
Report misuse
If you think someone is using LockCommand in a way this policy forbids, for example you got unwanted texts from a shop, email support@lockcommand.com with "Abuse report" in the subject. Include the phone number that contacted you and when. To stop texts from a shop right away, reply STOP.
